Description
A quaint New England scene with the tight building layout and fresh snow. These buildings are just a few of the very well kept past-residences of the Shakers of Canterbury, New Hampshire. Today, this historical landmark and museum is open to the public seasonally. The Shakers have roots in the Quaker religion, and got their name from the charismatic rolling, twirling, and the speaking in tongues when they felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. Shakers posessed impeccable craftmanship for their time, and were responsible for many inventions, including the flat broom.
