This was taken right after a heavy wind & rain storm. The temperatures rose quite a bit above freezing and created a quick spring like flood. You can't really appreciate this shot until you see the water at normal levels. This glacially carved out river drops down about 20 feet below the water level. To give perspective, here is a shot from a couple years ago, taken at about the center of this photo, under where the water is.
