Description
View of a frozen still Lake Winnipesaukee, looking North East. Besides the clouds, the darkness you see on the horizon is the Earths penumbra or "The Belt of Venus". I like catching that on this side of the lake during the winter. It produces quite a lot more color variation in the sky, as you can see. The turquoise hue to the sky lets you know it is definitely Winter.
